IZABELL is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the day finally came. She is so great (would a grandmother think otherwise). Her grandfather would have loved to have been here! My kid did great too. No complications with the birth. Cutting the cord for dad was kool. Sorry he is over seas and could not do it. The little one has juandice but is doing much better after some lights. She looked like a little glow worm!!!!! The weather is very cold and it snowed today...Her first snow! no snowman making for her! I will be very sad when it comes time to go.

I Made It !!!!!!

Well after quite a long way around I made it to my doughters house befor she had her baby! I flew to Atlanta only to get stuck from 3" of snow...only 3" of snow...it was crazy. Met some girls ( I was the oldest) tried to get a car to just drive and every one way car was GONE! Stayed in a hoetl...with this girl Patty and shared a queen bed....I was so tired I did not care. Went to the hotel the next day to be on standby all day...but knowing all flights had been cancelled. My daughter had gotten us a cheeper cab by computer than we could get from Atlanta....We spent 90.00 going to a small town outside Atlanta and when getting the car we met a really nice man, that was also stranded, and picked him up too. We went out of our way a bit but took him to an airport that was flying..Was interesting all in all. Was tired but very glad to see my daughter.

Today we spent getting the car back and buying last minuet things for the baby!!!!!! YEH!!!!

Here it is! An awesome piece!!!!!!
This doesn't hurt the plate in any way!

Lots of cleaning after soldering both sides and adding hooks for hanging! clean, clean, clean...then clean some more!
Solder the joints. Use fllux to help the solder flow. Make sure they are nice joints. You can tell a pro by the welds/solders.

Add lead

Lay out your glass and plate face down Start cutting the lead and fitting it around the glass. Making sure not to have large gaps between the glass and the lead, or between pieces of lead. Use pins to hold the glass and lead in place.

Cut the glass to fit around the edges. I did this free hand. You can have a pattern, but it is not needed.
This is an awesome plate. not too big! Dark green and ornate

Making of a piece of stained glass

First! Pick an antique plate to use. I love these three different ones. The light one is a soft yellow. nice!but I think I will use the green one. I have a nice green glass to match it! This green glass is very hard to find!
